Tata Motors is planning to introduce a mid-life facelift for the Punch soon. As per our sources, the launch of the Punch facelift has been pre-poned from the mid-2025 launch timeline revealed by Tata Motors earlier. Here, we answer some of the most frequently asked questions about the upcoming Tata Punch facelift.
When is the Tata Punch facelift launching?Â
Tata Motors is yet to reveal the Punch facelift’s launch timeline, but we expct it go on sale soon. This means the mid-life refresh would arrive in just three years of the SUV first going on sale in India.
Will the Punch facelift get a new design?
On the design front, it is expected to borrow some styling cues from the Punch EV with some design differences similar to what we see between the Nexon and Nexon EV, and the Curvv and Curvv EV. Changes will likely include revised bumpers, new headlamps and LED DRLs, a restyled fascia and a new design for the alloy wheels.
Inside the cabin, the Punch facelift will likley get a new seat upholstery, while new interior colour theme(s) could also be on offer. The overall layout will likely remain unchanged.
What powertrains will be on offer with the Tata Punch facelift?
The Punch will carry over its existing 1.2-litre, three-cylinder NA petrol engine that puts out 86hp and 113Nm peak torque. This engine is currently available with a 5-speed manual transmission and an optional 5-speed AMT. Just like the current model, the Punch facelift will also get a CNG version, which may even get an automatic just like Tigor CNG AMT and Tiago CNG AMT.
What features will the Punch facelift offer?
On the equipment front, the Punch facelift will get a 10.25 inch infotainment screen replacing the current 7.0-inch unit, with wireless Android Auto and Apple Carplay, a wireless charger and Type-C charging ports. A single-pane electric sunroof will continue, however, will be made availabe on more variants. There will also be a new centre console with a front armrest and integrated rear AC vents.
How much would the Tata Punch facelift cost?
The pre-facelift Punch is currently priced from Rs 6.13 lakh, going all the way up to Rs 10.20 lakh. Owing to the changes, the facelifted model will carry a marginal price increment. The Punch is the only Tata ICE car that did not receive a price cut for the festive period.
