Tata Motors is looking to come out of the downward sales trend it has seen in the last three months by continuing to offer the same large discounts and benefits on its entire combustion engine portfolio. It seems like some dealerships still have MY2023 stock of the pre-facelift Nexon, Harrier and Safari, along with the Punch, Altroz, Tiago and Tigor. These models are offered with a greater cash discount. Here’s how much you could save on your new Tata car or SUV at the start of this festive season.

Tata Safari discounts in September 2024
Save up to Rs 1.65 lakh
Tata’s flagship three-row SUV, the Safari, has discounts ranging from Rs 50,000-1.4 lakh during this month as part of the brand’s ‘20 lakh SUV celebration discount’, with MY2023 models get an additional Rs 25,000 cash discount. The mid-spec Pure + S and Pure + S Dark variants see the highest level of benefits, while the top-spec Accomplished, Accomplished + and their respective Dark versions get up to Rs 50,000 off. Priced between Rs 15.49 lakh and Rs 27.34 lakh, the Safari comes with a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbo diesel engine making 170hp and 350Nm, which is paired with either a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed torque converter.
Tata Harrier discounts in September 2024
Save up to Rs 1.45 lakh
The Harrier, which shares its mechanicals with the Safari but is a five-seat SUV, currently has discounts to the tune of Rs 1.20 lakh this month, with MY2023 models getting an additional Rs 25,000 off. Like with the Safari, mid-spec Harrier variants see the largest discounts while the lower and top-spec variants get discounts up to Rs 70,000 and Rs 50,000, respectively. Priced from Rs 14.99 lakh-26.44 lakh, the Harrier rivals the Mahindra XUV700, MG Hector and the Jeep Compass.
Tata Nexon discounts in September 2024
Save up to Rs 1.15 lakh
During this month, Tata’s Nexon compact SUV has discounts ranging from Rs 16,000-1 lakh; there are no benefits on offer with the entry-level Smart (O), Smart+ and Smart+ S variants. However, MY2023 Nexons get an additional Rs 15,000 as a cash discount. The higher-spec Creative+ S gets the maximum discount, while the range-topping Fearless trims getting up to Rs 60,000 off. Tata’s answer to the Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV 3XO and other compact SUVs is currently priced between Rs 8 lakh-15.8 lakh, and comes with 120hp, 1.2-litre turbo-petrol and 115hp, 1.5-litre diesel engine options, each with manual and automatic gearboxes to choose from.
Tata Tiago discounts in September 2024
Save up to Rs 90,000
Tata’s most affordable model – priced between Rs Rs 5.65 lakh-8.90 lakh – has benefits up to Rs 60,000, though opting for a MY2023 Tiago means you can avail an additional Rs 30,000 cash benefit. The Tiago, which rivals the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, Maruti Wagon R and other budget hatchbacks, comes with a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder engine that makes 86hp on petrol and 73.4hp on CNG, and has manual and AMT gearbox options.
Tata Tigor discounts in September 2024
Save up to Rs 85,000
While MY2024 Tigor compact sedans get discounts of up to Rs 55,000 this month, MY2023 models get a further Rs 30,000 cash discount. It shares its powertrain options with the Tiago hatchback, and rivals the Hyundai Aura and Maruti Dzire. The Tigor is currently priced from Rs 6.30 lakh-9.55 lakh.
Tata Altroz discounts in September 2024
Save up to Rs 70,000
Tata’s answer to the Hyundai i20, Maruti Baleno and Toyota Glanza is available with month with discounts up to Rs 50,000 on the petrol and diesel variants, while the CNG trims have discounts up to Rs 35,000. MY2023 Altroz hatchbacks get an additional Rs 20,000 off, depending on the powertrain. The Altroz can be opted with the same 86hp petrol engine as the Tiago and Tigor, which also comes ion CNG form, and a 90hp, 1.5-litre diesel engine. The recently launched Racer, which comes with a more powerful 120hp, 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine and a 6-speed manual  The both engines get 5-speed manual as standard, though the petrol gets a 6-speed dual-clutch auto option. Prices currently stand between Rs 6.65 lakh and Rs  11.35 lakh.
Tata Punch discounts in September 2024
Save up to Rs 15,000
Barring the Pure and Pure Rhythym variants, all versions of the Tata Punch come with discounts up to Rs 15,000. The CNG-powered variants have the maximum benefits while the petrol versions get up to Rs 13,000 in total discounts. The rival to the Hyundai Exter and Citroen C3 is priced from Rs 6.13 lakh to Rs 10.20 lakh. It’s available with the same 1.2-litre three-cylinder engine as the Tiago, Tigor and Altroz, albeit in a slightly different state of tune.
Tata Motors has also announced special corporate benefits for Tata Group employees, with the Altroz getting up to Rs 15,000 off, the Nexon getting Rs 8,000 off, the Punch getting a Rs 5,000 discount, and the Harrier, Safari, Tiago and Tigor seeing an additional Rs 10,000 discount. Further, Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLE) and employees of Common Service Centers (CSC) can avail up to Rs 15,000 in benefits on the Tiago, Tigor, Altroz and Punch.
