Tomorrow (Monday): A small midday spike in clouds and breezes may mark our transition from a pleasant, bright morning to a less-sunny afternoon with a slight chance of rain. The air will be comfortable, though, as temperatures top out in the mid-70s to around 80. A couple of gusts from the west-northwest around 20 mph are possible. Any brief shower or storm may favor areas south and east of town after 3 p.m.
Overnight has a slightly higher chance — 20 to 25 percent — for showers or a couple quick storms. By dawn, as skies clear, temperatures cool into the mid-50s to low 60s.

Drought and rainfall check
Despite some gardeners and farmers facing watering demands, none of the region is experiencing drought. A few locations shaded in bright yellow on the map below are rated abnormally dry, with hit-or-miss rain chances this time of year.
The region has more areas that have received less rainfall than normal over the last 30 days than areas that have received more than normal. While this may mean more watering to keep topsoil wet, the water table is still in good shape.
We’ll discuss this and look at the weather week ahead in tonight’s Sunday Sunset Live Q&A on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and X! Our 20-minute chat will start at 8:33 p.m.
