Paris Paralympics LIVE: India had a productive second day at the 2024 Paris Paralympics with four medals adding to the tally. Avani Lekhara defended her gold from Tokyo 2020 in the 10m rifle title with Mona Agarwal clinching bronze. Manish Narwal won silver in 10m pistol while Preeti Pal created history in sprint.

Away from the medals, in para-badminton, Suhas Yathiraj (SL4) and Thulasimathi Murugesan (SU5) lived up to their top seed billings by qualifying for the knockouts. In para-archery, Rakesh Kumar survived heavy rain to reach the Round of 16 in men’s compound individual event. Sarita, too, won her Round of 32 match.

On Saturday, Rubina Francis will start her campaign in 10m Air Pistol SH1 Qualification.

All eyes, though, will be on Sheetal Devi, who will lock horns with Chile’s Mariana Zuniga in Archery’s Compound Open 1/8 Elimination round which could produce a medal later in the day.

In singles Badminton SH6 match, Krishna Nagar will take on Thailand’s Natthapong Meechai.
