During U.S. News & World Report’s third annual Hospital of Tomorrow conference, experts, industry leaders and policymakers will gather to discuss the challenges facing the hospital industry and the future of U.S. health care. The opening keynote session on Sunday, Oct. 18 will feature Mayo Clinic President and CEO John Noseworthy, M.D., who will speak on “The Faces of High-Value Health Care: People and Processes.”  Afterward, Noseworthy will be among the participants in an executive roundtable discussion, “Transforming Health Care: Strategy for Tomorrow.” He will be joined by Nancy M. Schlichting, Henry Ford Health System; Warner L. Thomas, Ochsner Health System; and moderator Joanne Kenen, of Politico.

David N. Fisher, vice president of health care policy and strategy, Siemens Healthcare, and Kaveh Safavi, M.D., global managing director, health industry, Accenture, will offer keynote remarks.

The luncheon/keynote session on Monday, Oct. 19, will feature remarks by athenahealth’s
Jonathan Bush on “Connecting the Disconnect” and an executive roundtable discussion, “The New Health Care Landscape.” 

Andy Slavitt of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services is the speaker for the closing keynote on Tuesday, Oct. 20, and his speech will be followed by a dialogue between Rep. Kevin Brady (R-Texas) and Brian Kelly of U.S. News & World Report.
