Hospital executives and health care industry experts gathered in the nation’s capital Oct. 18-20 for the 2015 U.S. News Hospital of Tomorrow conference. Speakers and moderators provided plenty to discuss at the conference’s breakout sessions, during which public policy, medicine and data experts offered their insights into the challenges that hospitals will face in the future.
Dr. John Noseworthy, president and CEO of the Mayo Clinic, opened the conference with a keynote speech on “The Faces of High-Value Health Care: People and Processes.” The following day, Jonathan Bush, chief executive officer of athenahealth, Inc., offered keynote remarks about reconnecting the health care industry, and Rep. Kevin Brady (R-Texas), the House Ways and Means Health subcommittee chairman, focused on Medicaid reform in his closing keynote address to the conference on Tuesday.
